6 Bridges Half Marathon

Teesside 6 Bridges Half Marathon

Designed to instil pride, to inspire and to showcase the Teesside engineering heritage we are so proud of – the ‘6 Bridges’ will run for the first time in 2017 and quickly become one of THE iconic UK half marathons.

The route takes in not just the best of Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees town centres, but also 6 of Teesside’s iconic landmark river crossings - runners will also cross the track of the world's first passenger railway line - Stockton & Darlington Railway, circle the statue of Stan Hollis (the only man to win a VC on D-Day). You'll also visit the campuses of both Durham and Teesside Universities. Unlike other runs with miles of open space, there’s never a dull moment as ‘6 Bridges’ runners see the best Teesside has to offer, old and new.

Starting at Middlesbrough College and finishing at the Riverside Stadium, the ‘6 Bridges’ has all the convenience you’d expect of a first class half marathon making it easy for charity, social and club runners. A significant prize pool has been included to attract high-quality athletes.

England Athletics affiliated (7692743).

UPDATE - negotiations with the local authorities are still ongoing. The '6 Bridges' will be launched publicly as soon as council approvals have been received.
